Sky Goddess Nu Oasis the first body of the Ordo Templi Orients established in the Japanese city of Osaka. Our body was chartered in November of 1995 e.v and was promoted to the status of Oasis in early 2004 e.v, and to that of Lodge in spring of 2007, and became Oasis in autumn of 2016.
The Ordo Templi Orientis, commonly referred to by the letters OTO, is Latin for the Order of Oriental Templars or Order of the Temple of the East. It is an Outer Thelemic Order dedicated to securing the Liberty of the Individual and his or her advancement in Light, Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, and Power through Beauty, Courage, and Wit, on the Foundation of Universal Brotherhood.
OTO was the first of the great Old Aeon orders to accept The Book of the Law, also known as Liber AL vel Legis 220, received by the British poet and mystic Aleister Crowley in the city of Cairo, Egypt during the month of April 1904 e.v. This book proclaims a New Aeon (or Age) of human thought, culture and religion. This Aeon arises from a single supreme injunction: the Law of Thelema, which can best be defined by the phrase "Do What Thou Wilt."
This Law is not to be interpreted as a license to indulge in every passing whim or fancy. In fact, it means quite the opposite. Do What Thou Wilt is a mandate to discover one's True Will and accomplish it; leaving all others to do the same in their own unique way.
The Law of Thelema can ultimately be fulfilled only through the individual efforts of each and every person. However, many worthy aspirants to the Great Work of Thelema have a need for information, guidance, fellowship, or the opportunity to assist their fellow aspirants and serve humanity. Such aspirants will find welcome in the OTO.
Sky Goddess Nu Oasis takes its name from Nuit; the Goddess of Infinite Space and the First Deity of the Thelemic Trinity. Her body is what forms the star-filled night sky. She represents Infinite Space and Infinite Stars, as well as the unlimited potential and promise of each and every human being.

Sky Goddess Nu Oasis is based in the city of Osaka--known as the "Venice of Japan" because of its massive network of canals and its reliance on water transportation. Osaka is the main commercial center of western Japan and the main city in the region of the country known as Kansai.
Kansai is, quite literally, the most magickal, sacred and, indeed, holy part of Japan. More than half of our country's cultural properties and some 60 percent of our national treasures are located here. Besides Osaka, Kansai is also where the sacred cities of Kyoto, Nara and Ise--the center of the indigenous Japanese religion of Shinto--are located. The idea of magick, spirits and, quite literally, millions of gods and goddesses, have been an everyday part of people's lives in Kansai for countless centuries. Thelemites and those who, like ourselves, practice Thelemic Magick are very much at home here.
